The carton consists of an outer carton and specially shaped plastics blocks which fill up the carton and enclose the goods to be packed as a protective covering. The blocks (2) are enclosed by a bordering strip (5) which is fitted with grip handles (7) or handle recesses on two opposing sides. The outer carton is made with recesses for the grip handles in the areas corresponding to their position.
