Coal seam borehole test probe - has rotary cap over conical jet end with radial holes, attached to resilient sealing sleeve

The probe inserted in a borehole in e.g. a coal seam has a head from which fluid can be discharged under pressure through a hole down the centre. This head has a resilient sealing skirt (2) between its discharge end and the open end of the borehole. The head itself is at the closed end of the borehole. - This skirt (2) is attached to a socket (3) inside a muff (4) which have the jet part attached to them. This jet terminates in a conical port (5) with radial holes (6C) through its tip. Mounted over the conical part is a cap (7) with two holes (8) through its side, level wth the radial holes. This is secured by a bolt (9) through the end.
