<p>The power-driven saw disc is used on a woodworking machine to cut off the leading and rear ends of battens glued to the sides of planks or other flat workpieces. The saw is mounted across the workpiece direction of travel to swing in and out. For cutting off each batten end there is a stop element (41) and saw disc (5) on a common sliding carriage (6). This moves firstly horizontally across the line of the workpiece (3), and secondly at an angle to this. The two sliding carriages are separately mounted in tandem on a common frame (7) detachably joined to the woodworking machine (2), and controlled by a slide (8) connected to this.</p> |
