Device for closing the shaft opening in the rear wall of a spinning rotor housing has an elastics sealing disc which is provided with a bore for enclosing the rotor shaft and with a bead which is relatively rigid to engage supportingly the rear wall. Closure of shaft opening is simpler and cheaper than known devices and their fitting can be effected on existing housings without impeding the changing of spinning rotor.
