The table which can be locked at normal table height in the upper position and forms part of a bed in the lower position level with surrounding bench seating. It has at least one rigid support which fixes the minimum distance between the floor and the table top. It can also have two additional supports each in the form of a rod (11) which swing in synchronism. The length of the rod (11) corresponds to the distance between the table top and the floor and the rod itself can be swung into a locking position at right angles to the table top (1) and into a position parallel or inclined to it. This rod can preferably be brought into its two end positions by a foot control member (15). If two rods are provided the table is lowered and raised horizontally with no danger of canting or jamming. Furthermore the actual table legs can be telescopic, and locked by the rods (11).
|
