The endless track drive sprocket (70) has a rim (71) at each radial end. The rims are provided with teeth (72) to mesh with the chain links and provide the propulsion force. Two rings (73) are fitted symmetrically to the drive sprocket shaft centre and at the height of the intermediate connectors (49). The rings carry projecting support cams (74) at their periphery. The support cams have the same distribution as the driving teeth (72) and the same radial positions. The support cams have a flexible cover and gives a similar effect to a rubber tyred chain roller.
