Drum covering material for an electrostatic copier of the type which develops the latent image on the drum and prints it onto the copy material. The photosensitive outer covering (2) of the drum (1) is supported on a cushion mesh material (3) which provides some flexibility. The covering is not joined to the end plates of the drum (1a). This type of construction may also be used in a copier with a band type photosensitive transfer unit.
