The invention relates to a device for fastening a covering shroud (1), pr eferably in a length-adjustable manner, beneath a piece of furniture (2) suc h as a basin (21), in particular a sink or washbasin in the kitchen or sanit ary sector, having at least one pulling member (3) which can be fastened, pr eferably in a releasable manner, on the one hand on a holder, e.g. a wall ho lder (4) of the piece of furniture (2), the wall holder having fastening bol ts (10), and on the other hand on the wall (5) of the covering shroud (1), w herein the pulling member (3), which may be elastically compliant, is equipp ed at least in one end region (6), in the manner of a cable tie, with a latc hing means (7), e.g. a toothing formation, and, by way of the end region (6) , can be introduced into, and fixed in, an accommodating element (8) which c an be secured on the holder (4) of the piece of furniture (2) and/or on the wall (5) of the covering shroud (1) and is designed as a mating latching ele ment, e.g. a mating toothing element, and also relates to a piece of furnitu re equipped with at least one such device.
