1532966 Cartons ESSELTEPAC AB 2 Dec 1975 [10 Dec 1974] 49435/75 Heading B8P A container, e.g. for semi-liquid foodstuffs is formed from a punched blank including walldefining flaps 2 and preferably joint-making flaps 3, and includes an outwardly and downwardly directed edge flange 9. A blank of waxed or lacquered cardboard may be formed with a rectangular base 1 and side parts 6, 7 which form end walls of the container, backed by the flaps 3. Edge strips 9 are bent outwardly to define the edge flange. The parts 6; 7 may overlap or may terminate short of one another, in which case the flaps 3 have a portion for defining part of the flange. Alternatively, Fig. 3, a cardboard blank may support a lining blank 12, e.g. of waxed paper, parchment or metal foil, which is glued to the blank except at areas 6, 7, 13 to facilitate erection. Further, Figs. 9 and 10 (not shown), a separate lining of paper, metal foil, &c., may be provided. Also, Fig. 11 (not shown), the blank may have flaps (23) for forming gusset-type corners. |
