The pocket-forming operation may precede the ridge-forming operation. The said length of strip may be used in a rectilinear-motion bearing, or it may be shaped into an annulus for a radial bearing. The ridges are preferably formed by rolling. The strip may bear flanges along its edges. The strip may be formed in a similar way with further projections on its opposite side.</p> |
