<p>1532711 Valves MARTIN ENG CO 19 Feb 1976 [27 March 1975] 06647/76 Heading F2V An exhaust valve for the sand magazine of a moulding machine has a piston 14 reciprocable in a bore 13 of a housing 12, an exhaust port 15 closable by the piston, a screen 38 in a screen housing 30 which has a seat 32 for the piston end chamfer 25 and a port 17 to the bore 13 for supply and exhaust of operating fluid to actuate the piston. The piston and sealing 0-ring 24 are preferably of Buna N (Registered Trade Mark) rubber, the housing aluminium, the screen housing a thermo-plastic and the screen stainless steel wire mesh. The port 17 is, as shown, provided with a quick acting pilot valve 18 exhausting via a hose fitting 26 to the exhaust connection 19 which may be connected by a duct 21 to a muffler 20.</p> |
