1532694 Determination of reduced co-enzyme AKZO NV 14 Jan 1976 [28 Jan 1975] 01374/76 Heading G1B [ Also in Division G2] In the fluorimetric determination and estimation of the presence of a reduced co-enzyme in an aqueous medium, it is found that the presence of a water-miscible organic and a dispersion of a water insoluble substance in the aqueous medium have a synergistic effect in enhancing sensitivity of the tests. The use of the test for reactions linked with the co-enzymes can also be carried out. The watermiscible organic compound may be 2-methoxyethanol, ethylene glycol, glycerol in ethanol, dimethyl formamide or equal parts of acetone, methanol, ethanol and 2-methoxyethanol. The dispersed water insoluble substance may be a metal salt, for example zinc sulphate, magnesium chloride, calcium sulphate, magnesium acetate or calcium chloride. |
