METHOD FOR LOGICAL ADDRESS ALLOCATION AND ONE TOUCH PLAY WITH HIGH DEFINITION MULTIMEDIA INTERFACE

A logical address allocation method in an HDMI(High Definition Multimedia Interface) and a one-touch play method are provided to be capable of realizing a one-touch play function by using a temporary logical address, thereby enabling one-touch play for a sink device being in standby state even as complying with HDMI CEC(Consumer Electronic Control) standards. A logical address indicative of an unregistered state is set in a storage unit of a source device(31)(S40). When power is applied from the source device, a sink device(32) connected to the source device by an HDMI outputs an HPD(Hot Plug Detection) signal(S41-S43). If the HPD signal is inputted and the logical address indicative of the unregistered state is set in the storage unit, the source device is allocated with the logical address from the sink device to store the allocated address as a temporary logical address in the storage unit(S44-S46).
