PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a potentially crimped yarn giving a fabric with flat surface touch feeling and excellent stretchability for use in clothing or the like after subjected to high-order processing. SOLUTION: The potentially crimped yarn includes polyester conjugate fibers of side-by-side type or eccentric sheath/core type each having one of the constituents consisting mainly of polyethylene terephthalate and the other constituent mainly of polytrimethylene terephthalate. The yarn meets the following requirements (1) to (4): (1) The stretch elongation percentage is≥100%; (2) the number of residual torques is≤10 T/m; (3) the number of crimps of its single filament is≥25/25 mm; and (4) the hot water shrinkage is≤10%.
