1504143 Making housings EATON Ltd 16 April 1975 [23 May 1974] 23084/74 Heading B3A [Also in Divisions E1 and E2] In a method of manufacturing a housing of a door closure mechanism, the internal diameter of the two end portions of a cylindrical tube 10 is increased to form a pair of shoulders 11, a body 13 having a hole therethrough to receive the tube 10 is then welded to the body and the tube is drilled transversely relative to the axis of the tube through the body and the required parts of the door closure mechanism are introduced into the housing and, finally, closure members 24, 25 and 29, 30 are placed into the ends of the tube and the ends of the tube are then bent over the closure members to hold the latter in position. |
