The short-circuiting ring is designed so that it may be fastened on the contactor core. The short-circuiting ring (22) is so inserted into slots (16, 20) on the outer limb pole surface (14) and outer surface (18), that one side (26) of the ring lies in the slot (16) in the pole surface (14), and the opposite side of the ring (28) lies in the slot (20) in the outer surface (18) of the outer limb. The ring has its other sides so deformed, that the ring is undetachably held in the slots.
