<p>The method of sewing together the two parts of mocassin type shoes uses a special stitch which gives the impression that this has been done by using a thong. The inner sole of the shoe is placed between the upper and its lining. The sewing thread is passed several times through the same hole. It is passed through hole (a), to holes (b, c) then holes (d, e). It is then passed from the inside through hole (f) and then hole (g), also from the inside. From there it is again passed through hole (f), holes (e, d) and then holes (h, i). The stitch is repeated towards the back of the shoe.</p> |
