The rotor core is firmly secured on a shaft (1). It is located by a centering ring (3) on the shaft, while the cage rods are firmly coupled outside the core to a short circuiting ring each. Each short circuiting ring is radially located by the centering ring. The inside (12) of each centering ring is axially pressed against the adjacent face ends of the cage rods (5). The free portion of the centering ring inside is provided with an annular recess (13), whose surface is abutted by the outer annular surface of an axial lug (4b) of the short circuiting ring (4). The inner ring surface surrounds the shaft and members carried by the same with a radial spacing. Preferably each short circuiting ring is of L-cross-section and has an annular relief edge between the axial lug and a disc-shaped radial part (4a).
