The alarm system consists of a number of switching detectors and is designed to operate when a malfunction occurs. Each switching detector is readily cut out in the event of a malfunction, thus allowing the system to operate. The signal and monitoring contacts (9, 10) are separated by a spring (7) biased block (6). The block locates in a recess (5) within the actuating pin and controls the making of contacts.
