Preparation of wound capacitors for processing - involves connecting their terminal wires to stiff supporting wire

To avoid bending or tearing during the processing of wound capacitors having terminal wires of e.g. of tinned copper brazed or soldered to their ends, the terminal wires of a large number of capacitors are brazed to a stiff supporting wire of e.g. coppered iron. After the capacitors have been processed the supporting wire is cut away from the terminal wires. The soldering or brazing of the terminal wires to the capacitor windings and the brazing of the terminal wires to the supporting wire may be performed on a machine in one operation.
