<p>A multi function switch is operated by a control lever (5) which enters a switch housing through a loose fit aperture. The operating manoeuvres of the control lever comprise longitudinal translations, pivotal movements, and rotations. Longitudinal translations make contact between elements (46) and (58). A pivot (14) enables contact between element (8) and (13). The rotary switching action is performed by a cam block (59). This carries four cam profiles enabling various function selection.
