<p>The slide for drawers consists of a rail fixed to each lengthwise side of th chest of drawers. A U-shaped rail strip, and on the inside and/or outside surfaces of the drawer, slide peices and/or rollers. The front end has a support roller which pivots on a baring bolt. The front part of the guide rail is made of plastic, and has a plastic roller box for holding the support roller. The top of the box has a cavity in for the peripheral part of the suport roller to go through. The bottom of the box has an opening preferably for inserting the support roller from underneath. The two sides of the box have bearing blots supporting the support roller. At least that part of the guide rail along which the guide strip extends is reinforced with metal- the metal reinforcement is either detachabley or permanently fixed to the plastic part of the guide rail.</p> |
