发明名称 Slab roughing train for continuous hot strip rolling mill - where floor length of roughing train can be reduced
摘要
Slabs are simultaneously rolled in the roughing train of a continuous hot strip mill, where train has six roll stands which are located very close to each other, pref. without using intermediate roller tracks for the slabs; the rolling is achieved by using min. tension on the slabs during the roughing passes. The slabs, initially 200-300m. thick, are rolled down in train to 40-60mm., but the front end of one slab must not touch the tail end of the next slab in front and so normally the roughing train is ca. 70 metres long. The tension regulators drive stand motors to obtain min. tension on the slabs travelling one after the other through stands. The result is that the stands need only be 5-6 metres apart from each other so there is a large saving in the length of factory required to house the roughing train.
