Bearing assembly in which the radial play is minimised and kept constant during operation by temp. control is disposed in a sleeve which is associated with temp. equalising heat transferring means. Used for driving whorls at speeds above 10,000 r.p.m. Radial play can be kept constant at all operative conditions at a value of Ca.o.ol mm.
