The programme selector, for TV receivers, with stored tuner settings, has a tapping along a chain of resistors, associated with each channel within the reception band. A chain of potentiometers, fewer in number than the tappings is connected in parallel with the resistor chain. The potentiometers allow the tappings to be matched to a particular tuner. The tapping voltages are applied to a bus via mechanical contacts, which may form the moving arm of a rotary switch whose switch positions are the tappings.
