<p>The portable tool is operated by a piston-cylinder unit and has pivotable spreader arms or cutting blades. It is used esp. as a spreader or shears for accident rescue purposes or as cable shears for separating corresponding objects. At the end facing the operator, the tool has a coaxial attachment with a grip piece. By means of this, the piston movement can be controlled forwards or backwards by relative movement of the grip piece to the attachment. Valves are arranged in the cross-section of the attachment. They lie in one plane, are concentric and under spring pressure. They are acted upon singly or in pairs either via push rods and a central elliptical cam plate which is connected with the grip piece, according to the size of the control cross section or for safety valves via counter pressure for the movement at the spreader arms or cutting blades. A return spring is fitted to the cam plate.</p> |
