The snowchain wheels comprises elastic, thermoplastics, elements which are strung together by plastics tensioning cords one of which is looped about each of the four corners of each element. These run along both sides of the wheel of the vehicle. The combined elements form a circular, tensionable, covering for the wheel. They have hooks and eyelets integrally moulded onto them.
