摘要 <p>The independent front wheel suspension for a motor car has two guide rods (13, 14) inclined forwards and outwards from the front wheels. The rods are joined together at their ends nearest the vehicle body by a transverse rod (15) to form a stabilising structure. This rod is attached to the vehicle body by two mountings (16, 17). The transverse rod is torsionally elastic or rigid and the guide rods elastically deform in the case of unilateral spring deflection. The transverse rod is torsionally elastic and the guide rod are rigid. The stabilising structure is designed to deform uniformly in the case of a frontal collision.</p>
