<p>The hydraulically operated tailgate of the construction vehicle has a transverse guide rail (5) on the top rear egde, supporting an earth boring machine. When the tailgate is swung down and lowered it offers up the boring bit to the ground. The lateral position of the boring bit is controlled by a servo drive along the rail. The system allows the otherwise heavy boring equipment to be rapidly brought into use for fitting telegraph poles etc.</p> |
