In addition to the measuring sensor the thermometer has an analog part, decimal counters, a control system and a mains adaptor. Within its operational range the current transmitted by the sensor is converted in the analog part by a sawtooth converter, with defined discharge time period, into a temperature proportional follower frequency. Preferably, the sensor transmitted current is inverted in the analog part by a mirror current system, and supplied for an integrator with opposite polarity. A compensation current and a switching current, determining the discharge time period, may be added to the sensor current.
