<p>The folded carton particularly for liquids to be packed in sterile conditions, e.g. milk, is made from a sheet of cardboard coated with hot-sealing plastic on both sides. The opposite lengthwise edges are folded to form overlapping strips sealed together, and the flat rectangular base is formed by triangular and rectangular flaps and a flat rib seam. The side seam formed by the lengthwise edges sealed together intersects the rib seam, particularly between the triangular flaps. The folded over edge strip of the inner lengthwise edge is reduced to half the thickness of the cardboard sheet in the side towards the outside where it intersects the rib seam.</p> |
