The machine stacks and assembles into bundles lengths of hose material for forming into sacks. A series of stacking tables (19-22) receive a succession of hose lengths so as to form them into stacks. A mechanism counts up and predetermined number of lengths delivered to each table, and a further mechanism forms bundles from the stacks (50) placed one on top of the other. Conveyors (38, 40) transport a succession of stacks, each containing a predetermined number of lengths, from the stacking tables to the bundle-forming mechanism. Each table can have a support, movable between a first position above it and a second one close to the first. The lengths are individually delivered to the support, which is pulled away rapidly from underneath them, so as to drop them on the table. |
