PURPOSE:To obtain a wide fixable temp. range and good offset resistance by incorporating a specific polymer as an acid and/or alcohol component of polyester into the toner. CONSTITUTION:The polymer expressed by the formula I is incorporated into the acid and/or alcohol component of the polyester. In the formula I, X, Y denote -COOH or -OH; -(R)n-H denotes one or >=2 kinds of the polymers selected from a styrene deriv., cycloalkane vinyl compds., etc.; m denotes 0 to 5; n denotes 5 to 50,000. this polymer is preferably incorporated as acid or alcohol at 4 to 80mol% in the total component of the polyester. The polymer which is so-called grafted in the polyester skeleton and has the adequate length enhances the elasticity without changing the viscosity of the polyester. The fixing temp. range and good offset resistance are obtd. in this way. |
