The hand trolley consists of a frame with a single axle at one end and telescopic pushing handles at the opposite end. A base plate is attached to the axle end of the frame to push under the load to be carried. The base is hinged to the frame so that it can either project at right angles or fold flat against the frame. An auxiliary platform (8) is hinged to the leading edge of the base plate (6). A guide rod (10) is linked in front of the auxiliary hinge point (9) to prevent the auxiliary platform tilting too far forwards. The auxiliary hinged platform allows a load to be transferred from the frame to a higher level.
