Safety switch mechanism for floor care machines - has ball in recess inside handle associated with operating lever

The safety switch mechanism is mounted on a floor care machine. It has a swivel mounted guide rod whose handle contains the release mechanism. This is in the form of a ball mounted inside the handle in a partly tunnel-like recess. The front part of this recess is incorporated in the swivel area of the rotatably mounted actuating lever of the release mechanism. The recess which is preferably set inclined in the rear wall of the casing, can be a moulded part rotatably mounted in a bracket plate on this rear wall by means of a safety peg where it can be adjusted by a set screw.
