The bob sleigh has two pairs of runners, the rear runners carry the seat and the front runners are joined to the seat by a steering linkage. The rear pair of runners are additionally steerable and joined to the seat by a steering linkage which runs at a slant to the vertical in respect to the bob sleigh longitudinal direction. The second steering linkage has a steering axis which permits the seat to incline around the longitudinal axis. The steering linkage axis of the leading runner pair slants at an angle from the front to the rear. The rear steering linkage axis runs in the opposite direction, that is from the rear to the front.
