Hot pressing Si 3 N 4 powder into the rings to form turbine discs 3, the rings being restrained from expanding e.g. in a die, during hot pressing and then sintering the blades 6 on to the rings 3. Si powder may be placed between the ring and blades to aid the sintering. |
