<p>Prodn. of a fuel for cooking (esp. a barbecue fuel) is carried out by chopping and drying discarded vine-stocks. The vine-stocks are pref. chopped into pieces with a thickness of 7-15 mm and a length and breadth of 30-80 mm (esp. with bevelled edges) using a mechanical disc chopper with adjustable blades. Drying is pref. effected by passing the product over a horizontal grill through which hot air is passed. The fuel ignites easily, burns cleanly and has a high heating value.</p> |
