1532276 Branched polycarbonates BAYER AG 24 Feb 1976 [28 Feb 1975] 7196/76 Heading C3R [Also in Division C2] Polycarbonates which are branched by 1,1,2- tris - (o/p - hydroxyphenyl) - 1 - phenyl - ethanes have increased stability under load and pronounced non-Newtonian flow characteristics and they do not have the tendency to drip when burning. Examples 7 and 8 describe the preparation of polycarbonate polymers using CoCl 2 , bis-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-propene and pt-butylphenol with the branching agent 1,1,2- tris-(p-hydroxyphenyl)-1-phenyl ethane.
