The invention relates to a connecting device for successive duct sections and especially for ?ubmerged oilducts. The device comprises a flexible tubular joint placed between two duct sections which are to be connected together and which may not be in perfectly aligned relation. The joint is secured at both ends to two cylindrical coupling units slidably mounted respectively within the two duct sections. There is also provided remote-controlled means for anchoring the coupling units respectively in each duct section in the vicinity of the end-shoes thereof which are placed substantially in oppositely-facing relation, and means also operated by remote control for forming a tight seal between the external surface of the coupling units and the internal surface of the duct sections.
