ROLL SUPPORTING MECHANISM A roll support having a sleeve which fits in a roll and is supported by bearings on the inboard end of a cantilever spindle which projects through the sleeve. The outboard portion of the spindle is of reduced diameter to provide a space to receive an elastomer tube which can be expanded to force cl?ats outwardly into engagement with the roll.
