PURPOSE:To realize double-face printing through one-touch operation and, at the same time, to make the constitution used for this purpose smaller and simpler, by simultaneously fixing by heat transfer the images to be transferred of two stretched intermediate transferring materials onto both surfaces of one sheet of recording paper with heat-fixing members which are contacted with each other. CONSTITUTION:A visual image 9 formed on an electric charge holding body 7 reaches the transferring locations of intermediate transferring bodies 10 and 108 as the body 7 rotates. The intermediate transferring bodies 10 and 10' are respectively stretched over pressing rollers 11 and 11' for transfer, tension rollers 12 and 12', and heat-fixing rollers 13 and 13' and moved by the rollers. The image 9 of the 1st page of an original D is pressure-transferred onto the intermediate transferring body 10 by the roller 11 and becomes a transferred image 9' and the image 9 of the 2nd page of the original D is transferred onto the body 10' in the same way and becomes another transferred image 9'. When one sheet of recording paper P is fed from a paper feeding cassette 14 at the moment when the body 10' starts to move in the opposite direction and its leading edge approaches the rollers 13 and 13' at the intermediate positions of the bodies 10 and 10' thereafter, the bodies 10 and 10' simultaneously start to move in the directions shown by the arrows and the paper P is passed through and pressure-contacted with the rollers 13 and 13' and the toner pictures are simultaneously transferred and fixed on both surfaces of the paper P. |
