PURPOSE:To enhance the bond strength by forming a ring-shaped plate with an outside dia. greater than the inner dia. of the body, bonding a glass layer with the peripheral surface of a columnar part of terminal, the oversurface of the ring-shaped plate, and the inner surface of the body, and thereby restricting the bond area within a specified range. CONSTITUTION:A terminal 7 is composed of a columnar part 7a and a ring- shaped plate 7b located at the periphery of the lower part of the mentioned columnar part. The outside dia. of this ring-shaped plate 7b shall be greater than the inner dia. of the body 9, and a glass layer 8 is bonded to the periphery of the columnar part 7a of the terminal 7, the oversurface of the ring-shaped plate 7b, the inner surface of the body 9, and its undersurface in the bore part. The bond area with the body 9 and terminal 7 shall range 0.13-0.9cm<2>. This provides a flat type sealed battery with large bond strength of the glass layer 8 with the terminal 7 and body 9, even in case of a thin metal sheet is used to the body 9. |
