The mud flap for the front wheels of a heavy vehicle, consists mainly of a cover (2) extending over the tyre and able to follow the steering angle. The cover is attached to a clamp (3) fixed to the stub axle. The free end of the clamp has an edge strip (7) engage a claw (4) on the cover enabling the cover to be removed for wheel changing. The cover has lower fixing screws (5) at the front and rear of the fixing clamp (3).
