<p>A rescue pole (1) acting as a support bracket for the evacuation cage (13, 14) is lifted by helicopter (2) to the storey from which the rescue is to be made, and inserted by the helicopter by breaking through the window. It is then clamped in position by anchors controlled from the helicopter, and acting against the slabs forming the floor and ceiling of the storey concerned. After installation of the pole, control of the evacuation equipment can be handed over to personnel on the ground by the crew of the helicopter, which detaches itself.</p> |
