Corrugated cardboard tray for transporting fruit - has ends and corners formed by folded horizontal flaps and glued down tabs

The tray is used for transporting fruit and similar products. It is made from a single blank of corrugated cardboard. The sides(36, 42) are produced by folding up the outer edges. Tabs(42b) are provided for gluing behind adjacent sides(36). The ends and corners are formed by folding inwards a strip(4) along the shorter edges, this remaining in a horizontal plane. At the end of each strip is a small flap(44b), turned downwards and glued into a cutout(36b) in the adjacent side of the tray. The corners of the tray are reinforced and the horizontal surfaces enable the trays to be stacked.
