<p>The pressure-sensitive security system is for use in bank strong-rooms etc. and includes panels filled with gas under pressure to line the interior faces of the room. A pressure drop in the gas, caused by e.g. the penetration of a thermal lance, is detected by pressure gauges and the alarm is triggered. Pipe networks lead from the panels to the pressure gauges, and electrical control gear couples the gauge to an alarm system or compensating mechanisms. The compensating mechanisms act in the case of accidental gas loss to maintain the quantity and pressure of the liquid. The panels may comprise parallel abutting members of rectangular hollow section which are welded together. The ends of the member may be welded to distribution tubes which connect to the pipe network.</p> |
