Rail vehicle water drain gutter - discharges through union inside tubular handgrips

The water drain gutter is partic. for a rail vehicle, and is equipped with tubular hand grips. It extends all the way over the top of the vehicle, and has a union to each hand grip, so that water flows away through the inside of the latter. The union can comprise a funnel (6) fixed to the gutter and telescoping inside the top (7) of the grip, the funnel being connected to the centre of the trough bottom (9) and being in the same vertical plane as the grip. The design necessitates the min. number of extra fittings on the vehicle.
