Load transfer mechanism for tractor - has longitudinal arms pivoted under front axle on extension of jacks to lift tractor rear via lower lift arms

Two telescopic arms are shackled to the front axle of the tractor by chains. The arms diverge rearwardly and their ends are connected by swivel couplings to a transverse beam (6). An hydraulic jack (5) is connected to each end of beam (6) and has a ground support foot. A cross member (14) is connected to the arms (7) and lies below the lower arms (11) of the tractor three point linkage. Extension of the jacks causes the cross member to engage the lower arms, enabling the load on the rear wheels (2) to be transferred to the jacks.
