<p>In the mfr. of strands on a cabling machine, a deformable, elastic loop is formed of cables jointed at their ends to two support arms, mounted on two drive half-shafts. Between the two support arms, the tension of the two supple cables is controlled by the spring. Guide elements for the strand are mounted on the cables to support it during its passage through the machine. The tensions on the strand are reduced by reason of the supple mountings on the cables. Vibration and wear on the machine are diminished, and thus, noise and the possibility of overload are also lessened. The safety of the machines is improved, since the risk of rupture of the loops is also reduced.</p> |
